About the photographs

This is a small selection from a growing library of colour transparencies covering Mid-Wales, North Wales, Shropshire and the Welsh border country known as The Marches. Please email me at mail@simonevans.co.uk if you are interested in photographs of a specific location or subject.

The collection also includes abstract and inspirational images - natural patterns, skies etc. The categories are:

Images can be supplied as original slides or high resolution scans on CD-ROM. Smaller digital files can be sent by email.

For the technically minded: nearly all of the older photographs were taken with Olympus 35mm SLR cameras with lenses from 24 to 200mm or the mju-II 35mm ultra-compact camera. Films used: Fujichrome for slides or Ilford black & white. Recent work, mostly in the cycling and music sections, was captured with a Nikon D70 SLR.
